Black is the new Black.....a touch of Rock Star.

Bam! Pow! Love this look! No color will ever replace black. Everyone will always have a "little black dress". This whole outfit is refurbished from something else. The skirt was a dress, we cut the top off......leaving it very high on the ribs, love <3. The sheer long shirt was from an old dress. The bandeau  is from Charlotte Ruess,

Vintage clutch, boots~ Rue 21

Long gold necklace~ vintage, Peach feather layered necklace~ Forever 21.

Pairing the neutral open toe boots with the black, makes the legs look longer. The style of the boots makes the outfit a little more edgy. Putting a colored pump or heel with it,  would have made it more dressy and formal.

A little "Rock Star" look can be fabulous! Try on your "Rock Star"......and be Fabulous!

Blue and Yellow, nothing mellow!

Blue and Yellow. Bright, contrasting, bold and fun! Makes a statement putting these two colors together. It "YELL-ows" summer.

Shoes~ Target, Purse~ thrift store, Blouse~ vintage, Yellow skinny jeans~ Target, watch~ Target, Necklace~ refurbished jewelry.

Sunglasses~ Forever 21.

I love these colors up against this orange wall. Orange and blue would also be two colors to wear together. They are opposite on the color wheel, so the contrast of them look great together. Orange and blue are also two of the "hot" colors being paired together for this season, as well as yellow and blue which we chose. I love the boldness!

Be bold and have fun this summer....with color!

Brights wih Black and White

Shoes~ X.Appeal, Vintage handbag, bracelet made by me. I  read a DIY Tutorial via OhTheLovelyThings blog site. It's a leather bow cuff, made with some leather I had with a snap closure. Very easy to make. Check out the blog site on this DIY Leather Bow Cuff.

Blouse~ Rue21, High waist shorts~ Express, Hat~ Midwest Gloves and Gear. I love putting the unexpected with a simple outfit. It kicks it up a notch or two. So pairing these hot pink pumps and bright green hat with black shorts and a white blouse, makes the whole outfit  more exciting and fun! Remember think outside the box.

Have a great rest of the week. Today is Monday, and I had a great Mother's Day yesterday! I hope all you moms had a good one as well!

Boho Style

This Boho style, my daughter loves! It's not really me but I like it, and I think she sports it well. The headband I designed. I've used it before in a previous post ~" Lace shorts with sheer tan blouse". Instead of across her hair, she wears it across her forehead, for that Boho look.

Thigh socks~ Rue21, Shoes~ Charlotte Russe, Shirt~Forever21, Shorts~ Old Navy. The Leather feather necklace I made. I was inspired by one I saw on Etsy.com. you can buy the original at LoveAtFirstBlush, for 55.00. I had some leather pieces so I made mine, but I added a bigger chain and also ran a leather strip through the chain to change it up a bit from the original one.
